A Letter to Addison

Welcome Miss Addison 

 



We have waited a long time for your arrival and we thank God for giving you to us. Your journey into our world was a struggle for you and your Mother. There were moments when I feared both of you might not survive. Honestly, I don't think I have ever been more frightened in my entire life and trust me little one I have experienced some truly scary things.



The Angels Danced the Day You were Born

Your Mother loves you so very much and she proved that to everyone by how bravely she fought to bring you to us. She never wavered once. She was determined to hold you, love you, care for you and show you the beauty of our world.

By God's Grace and your Mother's strong spirit you arrived. You were blue and  unmoving. I closed my eyes, as the doctor and the nurses worked. I prayed aloud to God to breathe life into your lungs. 

I was there with your Mother and Father when you took your first breath, opened your eyes to our world and shouted your triumphant cry. "I am here!!"

You were born on 11.08.12 and weighed 8lb 4.5oz. You are our first grandbaby and a true gift from Heaven. We all know what a fighter you are and we can't wait to watch you grow, learn and master your world.

Welcome to our world little one. You have no idea how much you are treasured and loved.

Thank you Lord for delivering this darling from your arms to ours.
